Oh my does time fly

It doesn't even look like the same girl anymore! It's kinda a bad pic of her but she wouldn't stay still! So here she is almost 2 (friday!) and at about 6-7 months old....it's crazy and it makes me a little sad to see how much she has changed. I miss my little baby girl but I love the smart wonderful girl she has become. *sigh*

Teddy Bear Picnic

Anyways, last weekend I took Becca to our hospital's Teddy bear picnic. It was so cute and fun, there was a dentist, xray, doctor's and pharmacy where they gave Becca some "vitamins" (smarties) for her Bear. Angel (the bear) also got his paw bandaged and he was brave and had a needle. he got a balloon for all his troubles though. Very cute and I will take her every year until she gets too old. In other news, Josh and I have been really working on us and things are going very well.

My Grandpa died on Sunday, we weren't close so I'm fine with it. Went to the wake yesterday and Becca was freaked out! Josh says kids can see dead people...weirdo.

I am so super happy it's not hot out today, it was getting a little tiring. My lawn is crunchy.

I had a hopping day on Etsy yesterday, which makes for a great mood! It's like everyone waits for the same day to shop! LOL

The Bear

This bear went nuts with my garbage can, ate most of the garbage, ripped open diapers (yuck) and had fun for hours! I got a couple pics from when he came back after a while but at one point he went for a tour of the porch and stood right in front of the door looking at the bugs flying around the light, he was like a puppy or something, but a whole lot bigger, lol. The aftermath this morning was pretty gross, but Josh cleaned it up for me!

In other news Josh and I are trying to work on things. We are still separated but he has really stepped up. He has been a great Daddy lately and I love it and so does Becca. I guess he realized a lot the past month and it shows. I still have to get over all the resentment I have built up though. It will happen I'm sure, I do still love the guy. :)

Oh and a cute pic of Becca and me in the pool yesterday, she likes it now, but only if she's naked :P

Some new products

Hi there! Here are a few new products I made today. The first is a crayon roll-up. It's a great way to bring along crayons for your child to play with while waiting at the doctor or in a restaurant, etc. It has a flap that you fold down and then roll and go! Rebecca loves the one I made her!

Next 2 are both Snuggle Squares. I love the colors and designs of these two toys. It almost makes me want a little boy!

I am working on some more crayon roll-ups but I ran out of thread! lol. So as soon as I get some more I will have a cute little construction theme for a boy...so cute!

The Pool

She hates it. I thought she would have so much fun but nope...she hates it. I put her in and she wanted me to carry her and take her out. :( I'll keep trying and maybe one day when it's hot enough outside she will like it...

The princess and the potty

Hey that would be a good book! LOL

So my big girl went potty today! YAY! I took her shirt off because it was all wet and then she decided her pants and socks should come off too. Then I took off the diaper and she said "sit on the potty?" I asked her if she really wanted to and she said yes so away we went. Two seconds after sitting on it she peed!!! YAY! I went over and sang a potty song and told her I was so proud of her! She said "I'm so proud of you" back to me and gave me a hug! LOL

Oh and here is my beautiful princess, I can't wait to get her some dress up clothes for her bday!

Nervous

Tonight Josh and I are going on a "date" because he wanted to and I figured I would try because he has been trying for me. SO my friend Amy is gonna watch Becca at her place. I am so nervous about it. The only person that has watched Becca is my mom! I'm not saying I don't trust Amy, obviously I do or we wouldn't be going anywhere but I am a worry wart, BIG TIME!! I just hope she is ok and doesn't freak out when I leave and that she has fun. Amy has a little girl 1 1/2 months younger than Becca so I know they will have fun together. So anyways I have a free movie thing, 2 free tickets, free popcorn and free drinks! Can't go wrong there! I am also stopping at Fabricland while in Ottawa to get some supplies. I have a belt to make for someone and I need some sewing machine needles. and webbing to do so.

I have a showcase spot tomorrow on Etsy. I hope it generates some good business for me. My shop is doing good but it could be way better. I would love to get to the point of having a few sales a day not a few a week.

So wish me luck for tonight, I will have the cell handy for a text emergency. :(

The Doors

I love The Doors. I became a big fan when I was about 16 and I have a pile of CD's and books and other Doors items. They were big in the late 60's and therefore I wasn't born yet so i didn't see them perform. Jim Morrison died in '71 and I always wished I could have seen a show. Well my BFF's fiance is in a Doors cover band called Light my fire and me and MaryLee went to see a show last night in Ottawa. It was so good! The lead singer dresses up like Morrison and sounds so much like him. Great show and I also had a blast hanging out with my wonderful best friend.

Just wanted to add that in a month from today I will have a 2 year old.... :(

Where or where did the time go? I love who she is but sometimes I miss those cuddly baby days! It also makes me so proud of what she has learned and how she can sing her alphabet and speak in sentences, count anything and everything and come up to me and say "I love you mommy" ....I love you too my lovey...

Updates again...

Ok long overdue post!

So in the past 2 months things have taken a total turnaround in my life. Josh and I have split and we get along better as friends! Go figure. Rebecca is our #1 priority and always will be. She is still doing so well, talking non-stop...the things she comes up with amaze me! Her fav's right now are being a doctor and Princess'.

My Etsy shop is doing so well. I am so excited! I have reached 50 sales now after posting items regularly for 2 months. I have a deal in the works for selling my items in a real store! I am still coming up with new things to sell as the hair clip market on Etsy is huge! I get most of my sales from headbands and bow holders. I have been featured in 2 blogs so far which is exciting.

So in 2 months I will be moving again...I know it sucks but I can't live in the country with no car. Becca and I will get a place in town and walk , walk, walk.

Becca discovered the park again a week or so ago. She was so excited to go on the bridge and slides! I was brave and let her go down by herself! She LOVED it and went down a million times I swear! She looks so scared in the pic but she has fun :)

So on a personal level I am just trying to find me again. I lost myself a while ago and I need to find me and have fun and do whats best for me and my daughter. I am going to a show on Friday with my bestest friend. Her fiance plays in a Doors cover band and I love the Doors so away we go! I will be staying the night and Becca will be with Daddy...I may have heart failure being away from her as I have never been away overnight, but I think I need the break and some time without the responsibility....*breathe Chantel* Anyways here are some pics!!!!!!!!
