Meatballs..yummy!

Yesterday I made meatballs for the second time because they are so yummy. I love the fact that Josh will eat them and loves them even though there are a whole can of tomatoes in the sauce...He hasn't caught on yet...Mr. I hate tomatoes.

Heading into town later to pick up stuff to make pumpkin pie's for Thanksgiving dinner on the weekend. Josh has to work on the day of the big family dinner but I will make a dinner for the 3 of us on Monday.


Rebecca loves this new book I got for her. It's for 3 and up but she is really good with it. She knows how to match all the stickers to the right spots and she can draw "lines" from one object to the other. We have gone through the book quite a few times since yesterday! She is so smart! I am so proud of her. She amazes me every day with how well she can talk and remember things. She is quite the little singer as well!

Ok I gotta stop leaving my blog! I was moving etc so I had no internet for a month and a half! Goodness. So I now live in a beautiful house in a little village. I absolutely LOVE IT. I will get pics of the inside of the house when I get it unpacked and decorated. Here are a few of the outside. It's a nice place..fireplace inside, can't wait to sit and snuggle...lol

Rebecca and myself were in a wedding a couple weeks ago. I was the Maid of Honor and Becca the flowergirl, she looked so cute. Everyone was coming up to me at the reception saying how cute she is! Here are a few pics from that...

Flower girl dress

My little girl will be the flower girl in my best friend's wedding in September and I picked up her dress yesterday. She tried it on in the store and as I was buttoning up the back I had a flash into the future of buttoning up her wedding dress...sigh

So the dress was regularly 100 and I got it for 30...Big deal! She looks so adorable in it too and she agrees, she was in love with herself. LOL

Happy 2nd Birthday Rebecca!!

OMG my baby girl is 2!!!! I just can't believe it! I can remember so clearly when she was born, then I remember her first birthday and thinking about how I couldn't believe she was 1 and now it seems like only a month has past and she is 2! That saying is so very sadly true about how fast they grow up. I think about how in 2 years she has learned to speak in sentences, run like the wind, ride her trike, finally go to bed on her own, tell me she loves me so much, and has brightened every day in my life the past 2 years. I love this little girl more than I ever imagined possible, I can't imagine my life without her in it.

So happy birthday my little sunshine, I love you!

Canada Day Fun

Yesterday was Canada Day and first we went to our local festivities but they sucked because it had been raining and it was kinda all for big kids. We let Becca go on the swings for a bit and then we decided to go to the next town over and see what was there.

Not a whole lot more but they had a beach so we went for a little "swim" and played in the sand for a bit. At first she didn't like it and just sat on this rock and watched the waves go in and out but Daddy was brave and went for a swim and then she decided to be brave and went in with him. Then of course she didn't want to leave! It was so fun and nice. The I dropped my camera in the water, but only a bit, but enough for it not to work right. Josh said to put it in a bag with rice overnight so it would soak up the moisture and voila it did!!!!




I just have to say that Josh is a wonderful man and he has really shown us how much he loves us and wants our family together. He has been amazing and I fell in love with him again. I actually get the tingles again....it had been so long. We both have things to work on, like my communication and him helping out with things...but so far we both are doing great!

Teddy Bear Picnic

Anyways, last weekend I took Becca to our hospital's Teddy bear picnic. It was so cute and fun, there was a dentist, xray, doctor's and pharmacy where they gave Becca some "vitamins" (smarties) for her Bear. Angel (the bear) also got his paw bandaged and he was brave and had a needle. he got a balloon for all his troubles though. Very cute and I will take her every year until she gets too old. In other news, Josh and I have been really working on us and things are going very well.

My Grandpa died on Sunday, we weren't close so I'm fine with it. Went to the wake yesterday and Becca was freaked out! Josh says kids can see dead people...weirdo.

I am so super happy it's not hot out today, it was getting a little tiring. My lawn is crunchy.

I had a hopping day on Etsy yesterday, which makes for a great mood! It's like everyone waits for the same day to shop! LOL

Nervous

Tonight Josh and I are going on a "date" because he wanted to and I figured I would try because he has been trying for me. SO my friend Amy is gonna watch Becca at her place. I am so nervous about it. The only person that has watched Becca is my mom! I'm not saying I don't trust Amy, obviously I do or we wouldn't be going anywhere but I am a worry wart, BIG TIME!! I just hope she is ok and doesn't freak out when I leave and that she has fun. Amy has a little girl 1 1/2 months younger than Becca so I know they will have fun together. So anyways I have a free movie thing, 2 free tickets, free popcorn and free drinks! Can't go wrong there! I am also stopping at Fabricland while in Ottawa to get some supplies. I have a belt to make for someone and I need some sewing machine needles. and webbing to do so.

I have a showcase spot tomorrow on Etsy. I hope it generates some good business for me. My shop is doing good but it could be way better. I would love to get to the point of having a few sales a day not a few a week.

So wish me luck for tonight, I will have the cell handy for a text emergency. :(

The Doors

I love The Doors. I became a big fan when I was about 16 and I have a pile of CD's and books and other Doors items. They were big in the late 60's and therefore I wasn't born yet so i didn't see them perform. Jim Morrison died in '71 and I always wished I could have seen a show. Well my BFF's fiance is in a Doors cover band called Light my fire and me and MaryLee went to see a show last night in Ottawa. It was so good! The lead singer dresses up like Morrison and sounds so much like him. Great show and I also had a blast hanging out with my wonderful best friend.

Snow day pics

I am sooo slacking! I have been working so hard the past few days on my etsy items and taking new pics...it's paying off though, I've had a lot more interest. Plus 2 sales and a few more to come!

So earlier this week it snowed like crazy for like 2 days...I know it's April..?? So I ventured out with Becca and had some fun. It was kinda nice, so very beautiful so I took lots of pics. I took one from the driveway so you can see my new pad.

Tomorrow I have some family coming over for Easter dinner. I also plan to make some cookies with Becca because I have an egg and bunny shaped cutters to put to use. I am going to see what other craft I can throw together.

Family day

Well today was a holiday "family day" so Josh had the day off! YAY plus his normal day off tomorrow = 4 whole days in a row! wow. We went for a walk this morning and then just relaxed and played the rest of the day. It was great to have nothing to do! Just silliness, which Becca is very good at and we thoroughly enjoy it.

I took the pic above of her tonight, she wanted to lie on the pillow beside me on the couch and she actually fell asleep while I watched House. She was so peaceful and cute I had to take pics!

Josh and I went out for dinner last might to the Keg and OMG it was good! wow, best meal ever plus the 5 other people we went with were great company, it was so fun to get out for an adult night!

Saturday the kids were here and we did a few crafts. They made paper bag puppets and they each made a caterpillar out of egg cartons. I let them paint them and put the legs and head on but I cut them out and poke the holes. It was fun for all.



We bought Becca a tricycle as well. I know its still winter but I figured she needs to learn how to work the peddles first so why not try it inside. Then maybe by spring she'll be able to do it on her own! She loves it and kept calling it a car.



Then she took her valentine puppy for a ride!



So tonight Josh and I are going to Ottawa for a free dinner with his boss. Can't wait! Wickey will be watching Becca boo.

colors

Yesterday we had some family over, my cousins and Aunt C and Uncle L and Becca had so much fun with them. She just loves to be around older kids and they read and playing in her cardboard house and ran around outside for a bit.

I made some play dough with flour, water and salt yesterday and it turned out well but Becca doesn't like the feel of it. Oh well I guess another time!

Today I made a few things to help her learn her colors. The fish I printed out from DLTK, its a great site for crafts and printable items. I have also printed the cow in the picture and an Elmo door hanger. Very cute stuff there. Also I put a few stickers on some construction paper. The fish one she liked but when I would ask what a color was she would say fish, so I figured the stickers would be better to learn the colors with. So far she can identify blue and red and orange, but sometimes she gets those last 2 mixed up. I'm not putting much pressure on it though, its just for fun and we will do it as long as she is interested.

Fun Friday's

Friday's are the day Wickey comes over(Becca's granny). This Friday was super fun. In the morning we had a tea party and her "friend" the little blue guy sitting in the red thing and the dinosaur came to have tea with us. She loves to have tea parties.


Then after her nap Wickey came over and brought Becca a princess jewelery set so we put that on her and she actually kept most of it on for about 2 hours! She loved the earrings and necklace.


Then we decided to have fun with some snow...she wanted to go "walk-a-walk" but it was too cold. I got some snow and brought it inside and played with spoons and making snow castles, which she called cakes and that's why she is eating one...silly girl! That kept her busy for a while. Then her and wickey played in her cardboard house while I made supper. Wickey made some curtains for it and they played peek-a-boo. Pretty cute.



Today I am going to attempt to make play dough...could be scary.

dollar stores are fun!

Well Saturday was my day off..."wickey" (Granny) took Becca to her place for the whole afternoon. I went for a walk and watched a movie and just relaxed all by myself!!!!! Wow it was fun and very different!

Sunday we went to the new dollar store and got some fun things for Becca. Some little fuzzy puff ball thingies that she likes to count and put into different containers. I got a letter R and painted it pink with white polkadots to put up on her wall. A wooden toy train I will paint. Plus some cups and bowls and plates with Dora on them. She had fun and so did I!

Today we are going for a walk to the doctors, my ears have been blocked since Saturday. The we will go to my sisters for a paydate with Becca and Tyson, he's 8 months old.



The visit was fun! Tyson is so cute. Becca loved to play with all his toys! We will have to go back soon. Oh and I have fluid in my ears...fun, fun.
